Description

Numbers 5 and 7, High Street, are a pair of buildings dating to the 18th century. They are located within a group that includes the Church of St Peter and St Paul.

The ground floor of the buildings is constructed of red brick with a pebbledash finish on the first floor. The roof is covered in old tiles, and features a loft opening with a boarded door, seemingly used for storage. The frontage incorporates red brick with yellow headers and has two casements on the ground floor. A 19th-century bay window is located on the left. A cornice doorhood is also present. Further alterations occurred in the 19th century, resulting in a long shop window on the ground floor and a stuccoed first floor with two sash windows. A dormer window with an attic box sits within the old tile roof. A carriageway is also present.
