Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th-century farmhouse. It is located on the south side of Whaddon Road, near Shenley Brook End and Tattenhoe. The south facade is painted brick with a slate roof and large end stacks. The original house has two storeys and three bays, featuring barred sash windows with cambered heads; the ground-floor windows have flat arches and stone lintels. A plat band runs above the ground floor. The central entrance has a bracketted hood. A 19th-century, two-storey extension has been built to the west, adding four bays with similar barred sash windows. The north front is similar in appearance but is not painted, and the window arches are distinguished by keyblocks. The outer sashes are 5 panes wide, while the central sash is 4 panes.
