Description
No. 3 High Street is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted and extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, with a rendered gable to the east and a rendered west wall, possibly over a timber frame. The building has an old tile roof and features a brick chimney, one of which has a thin brick base. The house is designed in an L-plan with a later extension at the angle and stands two storeys high. The north front has two bays, with a stone plinth and rendered quoins. The ground floor features paired barred wooden casements with cambered heads. There is a central flush-panelled door with a barred rectangular fanlight, set within a rendered surround that includes Doric pilasters, a plain entablature, and a pediment.
