Description

This is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The left gable and rear of the building are timber-framed with rendered and colourwashed brick infill and a rubble stone plinth. The front facade has been rebuilt in brick. It has a tiled roof and an external 19th-century brick chimney to the left. The cottage is one storey and attic, with two bays. The front features a window with a segmental head in the centre, and one dormer, both boarded up. A taller, 19th-century brick extension to the right, with a single narrow bay and two storeys, has a wooden casement window in the corner of the first floor. The left gable includes a small brick lean-to and a three-light wooden casement window to the first floor. 20th-century extensions are located at the rear.
