Description

Howe Park Farmhouse is a house dating from circa 1830. It is constructed of brick, which has been rendered and painted. The roof is slate-covered with gable-end chimneys, and features a moulded brick eaves cornice that extends into the pediments of the gables. The main front has two storeys and three bays, with projecting gabled wings at each side. The windows are barred sashes with cambered heads; the ground floor windows are tripartite. A slightly projecting central porch has a half-glazed door and a rectangular fanlight above. The north front has five windows, with two lower, three-window wings set at right angles. The west gable has a door with a moulded wooden hood, which appears to have been moved from another location, suggesting a possible earlier date for the north part of the building.
