Description
Valley Farmhouse is a house with an 18th-century front that incorporates an earlier building, along with early 19th-century additions. The structure is primarily made of red brick, featuring blue headers in the eastern bay, while the rest is constructed from 19th-century buff brick arranged in a chequer pattern with yellow headers. The right-hand part of the house has a thatched roof, while the left-hand addition has a slate roof with a modillion eaves cornice and three brick chimneys.
The house is two stories tall and includes two dormers that are integrated into the thatch in the central bays. The right-hand section consists of three bays with two-light casement windows featuring segmental arches on the ground floor. There is a half-glazed door on the left side. The 19th-century addition on the left has a central door with a bracketed hood, a rectangular bay window on the right, a two-light casement on the left, and two upper two-light casements, all with segmental arches. The central section of the house has exposed timber framing at the rear.
