Description

The Watts Arms Public House is an early 19th-century building located on Castlethorpe Road in Hanslope. It is two storeys high, constructed of colourwashed brick, featuring wide eaves and a hipped slate roof with symmetrical chimneys. The southeast front has three bays, with outer upper segmental headed sash windows set in shallow arched recesses, flanking a central window that has a brick arched head. The ground floor showcases outer half-octagon bays built on brick bases, each with three-pane sash windows on every face, and a central six-panel door topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing that features bisecting diagonals, all under a cornice that embraces the flanking bays. At the rear, there are rectangular coursed rubble wings that project to the left and right, each topped with hipped tiled roofs.
