Description
The Youth Hostel, originally known as Manor Farmhouse, is a house adapted for use as a hostel, dated 1790. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a hipped modern tile roof and features brick chimneys on either side. The building has a double pile plan and is two storeys high. The east front has three bays, with outer three-light sash windows flanking a single sash window on the first floor. This is situated above a six-panelled central door that is topped with a semicircular arched fanlight. The entrance is accentuated by fluted Doric pilasters, sections of entablature, and an open pediment hood. A datestone is located above the entrance.
