Description
No. 4 Vicarage Road is a house built in the mid-18th century. It features a stone structure with a front made of red brick arranged in a blue brick chequer pattern. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, with a hipped dormer. A brick chimney is located on the right side of the house. The eaves cornice is made of wood and has a dentil design. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a two-bay front that includes barred sash windows, each four panes wide, set in reveals with flat brick arches. On the left-hand side, there is an 18th-century doorcase that has a dentilled pediment supported by large fluted brackets, a cushion frieze, and an eared architrave. Above the six-fielded panel door, there is a three-light rectangular fanlight.
