Description
St Mary's Parish Hall was built in 1892 and is located on the north-east side of London Road in Stony Stratford. The building features a gable end and porch facing the road, with four gabled bays and later additions on the south-east side. It is constructed of rubble with a brick plinth, sill course, lacing courses, and additional later features. The roof is tiled with a crested ridge and coped gables.
The street front includes an enclosed porch that is gabled and timber-framed, with a round window above it, a vent, and a pinnacle in the gable. There is a stepped string course over the porch, and the porch is supported by buttresses at the corners. On the south-east side, there are low buttresses between three gable-topped windows, with paired lancets and an oculus above in each bay. The end bay has later additions to the south-east and a chimney in the gable.
St Mary's Parish Hall, along with the Church of St Mary and St Mary's Vicarage, forms a group.
