Description

These are two early 18th century stone houses, now faced with plastered brick. Number 102 has one window on the first floor, while number 104 has two. Both have new tiled roofs, with a flat-topped dormer on number 102 and a hipped dormer on number 104. Number 102 has glazing bar sash windows, with paired windows on the ground floor, and a barely-moulded wooden eaves band. The entrance has reeded architraves and a rectangular light above, topped with a bracketed flat hood. The door is a six-panel design, recessed with a further light above. Number 104 has casement windows on the first floor and a three-light bay of sash windows on the ground floor. It features a pilastered doorcase and decorative “toothed” bricks at the eaves. These houses are part of a wider group which includes numbers 62 to 86 (even), 88 to 106 (even), and the former St Anthony Franciscan Preparatory School.
