Description

The Steel and Hatch monument, located 1 yard south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Helen, dates back to 1795. This stone monument features a sarcophagus that tapers upwards and is topped with a truncated pyramid, which has acroteriae at each corner. It is inscribed in memory of Mary Street, who died in 1795, along with others. At the time of the last survey, the monument was somewhat dilapidated.
