Description
Manor Barn, now a house, dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, with 18th-century and other extensions. It is timber-framed with weatherboarding and has a tiled half-hipped roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is single storey with a five-window range. The original cart entrance, located to the left of the centre, has been glazed with 20th-century windows on the ground and first floors. The rear roof is lower. Inside, there is a six-bay frame featuring two tiers of posts, with original posts at the upper level and large original braces in the first, second, fifth, and sixth bays. The roof structure is known to have survived, though it is not visible. There are also attached flint walls with brick coping and piers to the north and west. The barn has group value with Twydall Barn.
