Description
Pump Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse that was extended and remodeled in the early 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features brick end lateral stacks, along with a left-hand rear external stack, topped by a tiled hipped roof. The building has a double-depth plan with a single-room extension on the right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-to-one window arrangement. It is double-fronted, with a timber doorcase that includes a small canopy and a door featuring six flush panels. The ground floor has late 20th-century 15/15-pane windows, while the upper floor has three 9/9-pane sash windows. There is a similar one-window block on the right side with matching glazing.
Inside, the interior has been altered and includes a central 20th-century dogleg stair and a rear fireplace that possibly features a re-set four-centre arched bressumer.
