Description

Three houses at 10, 12, and 14 London Road date from the mid-18th century and were originally built as a single block. Number 10 has a timber frame and is clad with weatherboards, while numbers 12 and 14 have a rendered exterior. The roof is covered with Kent tiles and has a gambrel shape. The houses are arranged over two storeys and an attic.

Number 10 features one small, top-vent window on each floor, originally sashes with glazing bars, and a simple canopy over the front door. A dormer window in the attic has two panes of glass. Number 12 has a late 20th-century shop window at ground floor level, with two 12-pane sashes above, and a dormer window with a 6-pane sash. Number 14 has a late 19th-century shop front with a recessed central entrance and a panelled plinth, alongside a 4-pane sash window on both the first floor and in the dormer window. An outshut with a catslide roof extends from the rear of number 10; the other houses have rear wings. The roof has ridge stacks, and a tall stack is present on the wing of number 12.
