Description
No. 115 High Street is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Kent-tile roof that is half-hipped to the right. The building has a double depth plan and lateral stacks, rising to two storeys. The front of the house has a regular three-window arrangement, with a large gabled three-light dormer above. The eaves are deeply overhanging and adorned with a dentil cornice and end consoles. The windows are 12-pane hornless sashes set in exposed frames, with the first-floor windows having recessed aprons, while the ground-floor windows feature shaped arches and keyblocks. To the right, there is a simple early 19th-century stucco doorcase with a panelled door. The house also has a moulded plinth. Inside, there is a dog-leg stair with turned newels and stick balusters, which may date back to the early 18th century.
