Description

This is a row of four houses located on Star Hill, Rochester, dating to the late 18th century and altered later. The houses are built of brick, with numbers 30 and 32 rendered; they have a Kent tile hipped roof and brick stacks to the ends and rear. The houses are three storeys high and feature a parapet with coping and a cornice band. Each house originally had a two-window front, with one large and one small window on the upper floors, although number 30 now has a late Victorian, two-storey bay window. Windows are generally 2-pane sashes, although numbers 26 and 28 have casements. Number 30 has 2-pane sashes, number 32 has small-paned sashes with tripartite sashes to the upper windows, and a late 20th-century bowed window is present at ground floor. Each house has a doorway with a round-headed brick arch and fanlight, with renewed doors. The interior has not been inspected.
