Description
Osbourne View is a cottage dated 1852, located on Main Street in Havenstreet. It is built of red brick with yellow brick rusticated dressings and features a diamond cut string course. The gable end has a scallop tiled roof and a diamond cut eaves cornice. There are two casement windows on each floor, and a centred gable. The most interesting feature is the wooden porch, which originated from Ryde around 1820. The porch is enclosed with one light on each side and has a modern door in a moulded surround, featuring two panels with marginal strips on each side. Above the door is an elliptical arched projecting lunette with flattened shell decoration, supported by thin Tuscan pilasters with reeded necking.
