Description

This is a row of early 19th century warehouses located on the southwest side of Sea Street. The buildings are constructed of red brick with grey brick headers and red brick dressings, standing on a stone plinth. They have low-pitched gable end slate roofs. Number 34 has three windows, with the central one being blind; number 36 has two windows; and number 38 has one window and a hatch, originally used as a warehouse entrance. The windows are recessed and retain their original sash windows and glazing bars. Numbers 34 and 38 have block sills, and the windows are topped by flat brick arches. The recessed front doors are modern replacements. A yard door with a segmental arch is located at number 38. Numbers 26 to 40 (even) form a notable architectural group.
