Description
There are three chest tombs located approximately 6 meters south of the south wall of the south chancel at All Saints Church in Godshill.
The northernmost tomb is a late 17th century type, featuring a recessed center and a separate top slab with a moulded cornice. The easternmost tomb is dedicated to the Legg Family and is an early 17th century type, made of stone with two recessed panels on each side and a moulded top slab. It also has an inscription on the north side. The westernmost tomb commemorates Richard Legge and dates to around 1641. This stone chest has two moulded panels on the sides and a separate top slab with an inscription on a copper plate.
