Description

The Old Bell is a cottage that was formerly an inn, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring ashlar and brick quoins along with brick dressings. The building has a thatched roof with end brick chimneystacks and stands at one and a half storeys tall, with two windows. On the upper floor, there are two 20th-century casements set in 'eyebrow' dormers. The ground floor includes two 20th-century casements with leaded lights and wooden shutters. A central paired doorcase is located under a wide thatched porch, which is supported by wooden chamfered piers.
