Description
Godshill Toy Museum, located in Welcombe, is a cottage and museum with a datestone marked I M 1682 on the south wall. The building has been altered and extended by one bay in the early 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble and features a thatched roof with end brick chimneystacks. The structure is 1.5 to 2 storeys high and has three windows, including two eyebrow dormers. The windows are 20th-century casements. On the left side, there is a gabled, thatched porch with trelliswork and an early 19th-century six-panel double door. The right side has an early 19th-century door with the top two panels glazed. The left part of the building has a deep plinth, and there is a stone fireplace with a brick bread oven reported inside.
