Description
Crocker's Mill is a corn water mill dated 1773, standing three storeys tall and constructed of red brick with grey headers. It features a gable end roof covered with old tiles and a cornice made of header bricks. The building has three recessed sash windows with glazing bars and block sills, topped with flat brick arches. On the ground floor, the windows retain glazing bars only in the upper sash, while the lower halves are boarded up. A weatherboarded gabled hoist, dated 1889, is located on the second floor and is supported by two large brackets, with a stable door situated below it on the first floor. The west front displays an inlaid header band between the storeys, along with three windows and an elliptical arched hatch positioned low down by the mill race. Photographs of the mill are available in the National Monuments Record.
