Description
This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of three houses on St James’s Street. The buildings are constructed with purple-grey headers and red brick dressings on a grey header plinth with red stretcher bands. They have a low-pitched gable end slate roof and projecting eaves. Each house originally had two windows on the second floor, which are recessed sash windows with flat red brick arches and block sills. The first floors feature three-light bowed bays with panelled strips, a plain frieze and cornice, and panelled aprons. The ground floor windows are a slightly larger version of those on the second floor. Each house has a recessed door of three fielded panels, topped with a semi-circular fanlight, and a red brick archway, approached by two steps.
