Description
Ella Cottage is a former chapel caretaker's cottage built in the early to mid-19th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of red brick featuring glazed blue headers in Flemish bond, with red brick dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and one gabled bay. On the left side, there is a step up to a 20th-century board door, which has a late 20th-century moulded wooden panel replacing the fanlight below a round arch. To the right, there is a 16-pane sash window on each floor, set in a reveal with a stone sill and a flat brick arch above. The gable is topped with brick coping, and there are two chimney stacks on the right side. At the rear, there is a 16-pane sash window on the first floor, along with a single-storey addition on the left and a two-storey addition on the right, neither of which is of special interest. The cottage is set back from the former chapel on its right, which it resembles in style.
