Description

This building is a former school, known as the Old Penny School, located to the rear of No 10, Shergold's Antiques Shop, on the west side of Shooters Hill in West Cowes. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features two windows. It has a pediment with stone coping and a cornice, along with two sashes that retain their glazing bars. The central doorcase is adorned with a cornice, pilasters, and a rectangular fanlight.
