Description
Lugley Cottage is an early 19th century building located on Lugley Street. It is a two-storey structure made of red brick with grey headers and red brick dressings. The roof is low-pitched and hipped, covered with slate and featuring projecting eaves.
The entrance bay has one window and a lean-to that is set back. There are two recessed sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with rubbed brick flat arches and supported by block sills. The ground floor features original French windows, both of which are adorned with wooden trellis porches that have glass roofs. The door is set back and is panelled with a moulded wood architrave, featuring a round-headed entrance with a rubbed brick arch and keystone.
The front wall facing the street is constructed of good red brick and grey headers, topped with stone coping. It also includes stone-capped gate piers and modern gates.
