Description
Mill Cottage is a building dating from around 1800, originally serving as a mill house, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. It is two storeys high and has a rendered, painted exterior. The gable roof is covered with slate, and the eaves are concealed by ventilation. The front features four round-headed, recessed sash windows that have later glazing bars and block sills. There is a gabled glazed porch leading to the entrance, which is set against a high rubble front wall. The north garden front includes a parapet with coping and a block cornice, featuring seven windows, three of which are in a central projecting three-sided bay. These bay windows are recessed, with intact glazing bars and block sills. On the ground floor, there are French windows at the centre of the bay. To the east, there is a single-storey wing that has one round-headed window.
