Description

The barn at Sainham Farm is an 18th-century structure located on Sheepwash Lane in Godshill. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble and has a roof that is currently covered with corrugated iron. The gable end features kneelers on one side and is half hipped on the other. The barn has a deep plinth and includes a triangular ventilation slit along with mullioned windows on the front and end gable. It consists of six bays and has an 18th-century Queen strut roof, although the butt purlins and ridge piece were added in the 19th century.
