Description
Little Yafford is a house that dates from the early 18th century or earlier and was refenestrated in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and features four windows. The right side gable end has kneelers, while the left side is adjacent to Yafford House. The attic includes three hipped dormers with 19th-century casements. On the first floor, there are four 19th-century casements set in stone surrounds. The ground floor has three triple 19th-century casements in 18th-century stone surrounds with keystones. The left side has a double 18th-century 12-pane sash window with a central keystone. A modern door is framed by an 18th-century surround with a keystone. There is a deep plinth, and above the third ground floor window from the left, there is a datestone featuring the initials I G I, likely representing John and James Gommies, flanked by Tudor roses and dated 1709. Inside, there is an 18th-century round-headed wooden cupboard with a keystone.
