Description

A garden wall and gate piers, dating from 1883, designed by J.L. Pearson for the Reverend Thomas Peacey as part of All Saints Vicarage (listed separately). The wall is approximately 1.25 metres high and returns around the south front of the garden, beginning from the entrance on the east front. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings. The wall has a chamfered stone coping with a fillet, a chamfered stone moulding to the plinth, and is stepped down in places. The gate piers rise from the wall's plinth and are built of red brick with ashlar tops. They feature mansard tops with a fillet and recessed panels containing three trefoil-headed bays. A renewed wrought-iron single hung gate is present. The wall and piers are included in the listing for their group value with the vicarage.
