Description
Numbers 17 and 18 are semi-detached houses located on Richmond Terrace in Brighton, dating from around 1825. They are likely designed by Amon Wilds and C.A. Busby. The houses are constructed of stucco with a slate roof and stand two storeys high, each featuring three windows. There are steps leading up to flat-arched entrances that are adjacent to each other, flanked by pilasters that support a shared, wreathed entablature. The entrance to No. 18 has an original design panelled door with overlights. The flat-arched windows include first-floor windows with sill bands, cornices on consoles, and sashes with margin lights, except for those inserted above the screen walls on the sides. The eaves are boxed, and there are side stacks. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there is a garden wall with gate piers for No. 18, made of stucco with panels of tarred cobbles.
