Description
The railings on the west side running north-south between North Road and Church Street in Brighton date from around 1830. They are made of metal and feature standards with palm-leaf ornament and acorn finials, with panels of simple segmental ironwork in between. The railings are set back and interrupted eight times for steps. The raised pavement and the railings were likely part of Windsor Terrace, which was built around 1830, and were retained when Queen's Road was laid out in 1845. These railings are included for their group value.
