Description
This is a terrace of six dwellings, built around 1830 and altered in the mid-to-late 20th century. The buildings are constructed with stucco over rubble and brick, with concrete tile and bitumen-covered slate roofs, and overhanging eaves. They are three storeys high with attics. The facades largely feature a one-window arrangement with a central, full-height bow, though No.2 has a three-window frontage, and No.3 a two-window frontage. Nos. 2-5 have 20th-century attic extensions, while Nos. 6-9 have gabled dormers. Original mullioned windows with curved sashes and glazing bars are present in the bow, with 12 panes on the ground and second floors, and 18 panes on the first floor. No.2 has a 20th-century bay window on the ground floor, with other windows retaining 12-pane sashes. Nos. 4 and 6 have 20th-century bow windows on the ground floor, and No. 7 has a full-height canted bay with sashes and a 20th-century bow window with multiple-paned fixed lights. No.8 had its ground floor boarded up when surveyed. All dwellings have late 20th-century six-panel doors set in square-headed or round-arched openings.
