Description
Numbers 46 and 47 Marine Parade are a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses that were refronted in the late 19th or 20th century. They are constructed of stucco cement and have slate roofs with turnerised tiles. The houses are three storeys high with dormers over a basement and have an eleven-window range to the left return. All windows have flat arches. Balconies with cast-iron railings are present on the first floors. A cornice sits atop the building, finished with a blocking course. Two flat-arched entries are located on the return. Dormer windows were added when the houses were converted into a block of flats. The interior was not inspected. Railings are present at the stairs and area. They are included on the list for their group value, forming a group with numbers 41-45 (consecutive) and number 48 Marine Parade.
