Description

These are a group of terraced houses built in the early 19th century and significantly altered since. They are constructed of stucco, with slate roofs to numbers 6, 9, and 10, and tiles to number 11; the roofs of the others are hidden behind parapets. Numbers 6 and 9 are four storeys high with attics, while numbers 7, 8, 10, and 11 are five storeys high, all with basements. Numbers 6 to 10 have a two-window arrangement, with some windows being blank, while number 11 has a single-window frontage onto Pavilion Parade and a four-window frontage onto Pavilion Street. Numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9 feature round-arched entrances flanked by engaged Doric columns supporting open segmental pediments with dentil detailing, and panelled reveals to numbers 6 and 7. Number 10 has a flat-arched entrance flanked by engaged Doric columns supporting a simple cornice. Cornices are visible on numbers 6, the bay of number 7, parts of numbers 8 and 9, and number 10. The main facade of number 11 is on Pavilion Street, featuring rustication to the ground floor, a replacement doorcase over a flat-arched entrance, and a full-height segmental bay to the right of the entrance. The interiors were not inspected.
