Description
This is a mid-19th century terraced house with a shop. It is built of stucco with a slate roof. The house is three stories high, with a basement, and has one window facing Gloucester Road and one facing Over Street. The ground floor is occupied by a shop, featuring a flat-arched entrance in a chamfered corner with panelled doors of an original design, the upper panels now glazed. To either side of the entrance are single-story bays with original mid-19th century glazing, a fascia with a dentil cornice, and an elaborate bracketed stop at the end facing Gloucester Road. The upper floors incorporate a two-story canted bay on the Gloucester Road elevation and an original flat-arched sash window on the first floor of the Over Street elevation. There are two blank windows on the second floor of the Over Street elevation. The roof is hipped, and there is a stack to the party wall. The interior has not been inspected. This building is of group value.
