Description
Chapel Square No. 5 at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst is a building that served as cadets' quarters, constructed around 1810. It is made of yellow stock brick and features rear lateral stacks and a hipped slate roof. The building has a double depth plan and is designed in the Late Georgian style.
The exterior is two stories high with a symmetrical front that includes a cornice and parapet. The central doorway has rubbed brick heads, an overlight, and a six-panel door, flanked by six-over-six pane sash windows. There are three-window returns on either side. The interior has not been inspected.
This building was likely built as part of the Old College by John Sanders and is situated alongside Chapel Square, facing the Chapel.
