Description
The Kurnol Mortar is a 19th-century mortar gun located at the end of the avenue to the east of the main building of the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst. This large antique oriental bronze field piece was excavated in Kurnol, India, in 1839. It was previously situated in the Front Parade at Woolwich Arsenal before being moved to Sandhurst in 1946.
