Description
The lodge to the former workhouse, now hospital, is located to the southeast of the main hospital block at Langthorne Hospital. Built in 1840, it is constructed of stock brick with some stucco, featuring white brick dressings and pilaster strips. The building has a tiled roof and is a single storey with one bay and a pediment. It includes a semicircular headed entrance set within a gabled porch, and has a two-bay return. The lodge is included for its group value. A later rear extension at the northeast end is not considered of special interest.
