Description

No. 282 on London Road is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of stock brick. It features five sash windows, with the ground floor windows being round-headed. The central porch is adorned with Tower of the Winds columns and back pilasters, complemented by a fluted frieze and cornice with roundels. There is a semi-circular ornamental fanlight above a glazed door, and steps lead up to the entrance, which has handrails. The building is topped with a parapet. No. 282, along with No. 284, forms a group with Wallington Bridge and Manor Cottage on the east side of London Road.
