Description
The cattle fountain outside the Star and Garter Home was constructed in 1891 by T.E. Collcutt. It is a circular fountain basin made of ashlar, featuring arched outlets leading to an internal trough and a smaller circular basin supporting a shafted, lobed basin topped with a small vase. Above the fountain are two finely wrought iron arches, which support four octagonal lanterns, four iron dragons, an iron band bearing a dedicatory inscription, and finally a coronet.
