Description

This is a pair of cottages located at 109-111 London Road in Mitcham, dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are weatherboarded with a double-pitched machine-tiled roof that reaches the eaves. The cottages are two storeys tall and consist of two bays each. The entrances are situated in the outer bays, featuring square-headed doorways with moulded architraves and half-glazed panelled doors. The windows are square-headed, with timber architraves still present on No 109, which also retains glazing bar sashes, while No 111 has plate glass. Decorative timber aprons are located below the windows, and there is a central stack.
