Description

The tombstone to Mr. John Foot and Sons is located in St. Dunstan's Churchyard and dates from the early 18th century. It is made of Portland stone and features an auricular scrolled top with a relief of a winged hour-glass. The lettering on the stone is clear and well-preserved, commemorating John Foot, who died in 1729 at the age of 27, as well as his sons Thomas, who also died in 1729, and John, a yeoman who passed away in 1747.
