Description
The Tomb of Frederick Hitch VC is a memorial located in Chiswick Cemetery, commemorating Frederick Hitch, who lived from 1856 to 1913. The memorial is made of grey granite and is designed to resemble a rough-cut cairn. It is draped with the Union Jack and features a pith helmet on top. There is a rectangular inscription panel that reads: "THIS MEMORIAL was erected by voluntary subscription to commemorate HIS HEROIC ACTION at RORKE'S DRIFT 22 January 1879."
