Description

The tower and spire of the former Church of St Catherine, built in 1880 with the spire added in 1898 by Capenter and Ingelow, is designed in the Decorated style. It features a two-stage tower with paired belfry openings and corner buttresses, as well as pinnacles on the corner turrets. Above the tower is an octagonal spire, making it a tall and prominent landmark.
