Description
Number 80 on High Street is an 18th-century house that has been converted into flats. It is built of brown brick and stands three stories tall. The facade features a symmetrical arrangement of windows with two sets of double-hung sash windows on either side of a central projection, all set in flush surrounds with rubbed red brick flat arches above them.
The house has a graceful porch that is supported by "Tower of the Winds" columns and pilasters, topped with an entablature that includes a carved frieze. The porch has an open pediment and an arched doorway with a panelled intrados and a traceried fanlight. At the top, there is a parapet and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. To the left, there is a two-story wing with one window and an archway on the ground floor.
