Description

Haydon Lodge is a late 19th-century cottage designed in a decorative "Elizabethan" style. The building is two storeys high and consists of one bay, with a lean-to extension on the right side. The first floor features half-timbering with plastered filling that has incised designs. The framing is patterned, and there is a wood dentil cornice in the gable. The first floor overhangs on beam ends, which are carved at the angles. The ground floor is made of brick. The cottage has small paned casement windows, with the front window positioned under a cambered relieving arch and a carved brick apron below. There is a recessed porch at the angle of the building, supported by carved wood posts.
