Description
Cuckoo Hill Farmhouse is a 16th-century house that has undergone alterations and additions, which largely obscure its original character from the outside. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring a high-pitched roof with swept eaves, which has been renewed with modern tiles. There are later chimneys at the ends. The walls are roughcast, and the windows are modern leaded casements. A central projecting gabled bay on the first floor overhangs and is supported by a moulded beam. Inside, the central section displays heavy, high-quality timber work, including a large beam with a tongued chamfer. The roof has side purlins and thick wind braces. The outer bays are less distinct; the left bay may be older, while the right front bay is a later addition.
