Description
Page's Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building located on Shepherd's Hill in Harold Wood. The farmhouse dates back to 1663, as indicated on the building. It is a two-storey structure with a pebbledashed exterior and features four windows. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, while modern metal casements have been installed in the windows. The west bay of the farmhouse may be an 18th-century extension.
The entrance is situated between two windows on the east side and features a late 18th-century doorcase adorned with paterae and a simple hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a two-storey 19th-century wing that includes a projecting stair turret at the junction with the main building. The farmhouse has rear stacks.
Inside, the ground floor east room showcases a bridging joist supported by scrolled brackets, with the letters TWH on the east bracket and the date 1663 on the west bracket. The room to the west of the entrance has ceiling joists that are chamfered and feature run-out stops.
